Co-sleeping
Although co-sleeping with your little may seem like a good idea to strengthen your relationship with your child, it can be quite dangerous if proper precautions are not taken. The safest place for babies is in their crib. As children get older, the transition from mom’s bed to the crib in their own room can be a slow transition. Cold turkey can work as well for some children.
Start by taking naps in the crib and then work up to sleeping through the night. The older the child gets, the harder it will get. Crying is ok. Provide lots of hugs and say good night. Done. Help them build their independence and learn to welcome changes. Prepare them for life as life changes happen whether we like it or not. Be there as support not a crutch.
