Bringing Toys to the Doctors Office
As parents we may think that the toys in our child’s pediatricians office are clean and safe to use.
The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests that parents void them all together, or bring their own instead.
Because of the high volume of children, multiple children who are sick may be playing with the toys at once. That means that it is easier to be transferred to another child.
There are guidelines that state that waiting rooms should not have toys, as they may be difficult to clean.
Instead bring a few of your child’s toys from home for them to play with; and remember to sanitize them when you arrive home.Be sure to wash your child’s hands thoroughly as well.
